Holiday Greetings!
We are continuing to collect items for the Giving Tree. Our donation bin is in the Fred Ball room at HVUUC. Suggested items are for children, men and women are:
· gloves
· hats
· scarves
· socks
· underwear
· feminine hygiene items
· washcloths
· soap
· lotion
· shampoo and conditioner
We have been given our specific spot for The Giving Tree at Kings Common, in front of the JC library. We are tree number 113, best accessed from W. King St., but Millard St. is good, too. This will be easy access for both decorating and restocking the tree. The Giving Tree will be decorated on Friday, November 29th, 11:00. We will have decorations, presents, and ladders coming. We just need volunteers with giving spirits.
We also need volunteers to restock the tree daily from November 29th to January 7. We will supply you with packages and the timing is up to you. Please email us at givingtree@hvuuc.org with dates that you’d like to volunteer for restocking. Consecutive dates would logistically be easier than scattered dates throughout the season. see you Friday! Thanks for your generosity.
Proposal: HVUUC disposes of all plastic kitchen utensils and use the Green Sanctuary Fund to purchase non-plastic kitchen utensils to replace them.

There's been a little confusion about submitting info for the newsletter.
The forms on our website called "news" and "events" are for submitting items to be published under the “Congregational News” and “Featured Events” sections of our website hvuuc.org. These forms are not for submitting information to our monthly newsletter.
However, if you'd like the info submitted on these forms to also be included in our newsletter be sure to say so in the "note to office" section of the form. Otherwise it will only be published to the website.
To share information for the monthly newsletter, email our office administrator Jessica at newsletter@hvuuc.org .
We hope this clarification helps! If you have further questions email office@hvuuc.org.

George Cross and Tom Burns are starting a Covenant Group for men beginning Feb. 1 and meeting for 6 sessions, scheduled the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays in February, March, and April.
Our general theme is social justice, but our process will focus on personal experiences, our own complicity in various problems, but also our evolution in awareness and change--including resistance to change--around social justice issues.
Join Rev. Tiffany and your church leadership for Listening Circles.
This is a facilitated experience designed to allow all attendees to speak and listen to each other in an atmosphere of safety and equality. We want to hear from you about our pandemic responses and your understanding about how we live our vision. Your thoughts and your story are welcome here. Share where you’re at without worries about cross-talk or judgement.

The Stewardship Committee needs volunteers to help plan and execute the Stewardship Campaign for the spring. This is an opportunity to facilitate a critical process for the church. The tasks primarily involve communications to promote congregant involvement, such as distributing pledge cards, follow up by phone/email, and contributing to announcement design.
The peak activity is January through March, with most time spent in preparation and follow up. For more information and to volunteer, please contact Charlie at stewardship@hvuuc.org
Sarah W and Cindi H will offer a UFO Pop Up in January as a demo! Come join us with your Unfinished Objects, and we can share our space as we work on those pesky crafts or tedious tasks that have been sitting around waiting to be finished. We can connect and chat and maybe even help each other, making it fun to finish together.
