Group Tables at the Church Picnic

If your group or committee is looking for additional volunteers, or if you'd simply like to share information about your group's purpose and activities, tables will be available at the church picnic for displays and outreach.

If you would like to reserve a table, please email fellowship@hvuuc.org or speak with Debbie after a service. We encourage all groups to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with our church community!

Volunteers Needed For Church Picnic

Volunteers needed for the annual church picnic on August 22!  If you enjoy sharing ideas or just want to help create a fun day for our church family, I'd love to have you on the planning committee and/or working team.  Those with the sacred knowledge of flipping burgers without burning them would be extremely helpful to have on board.

Nursery Pick-Up Reminder

Nursery Pick-Up Reminder

A friendly reminder that our wonderful nursery caregivers provide care for our littlest members each Sunday from 9:15 AM–12:15 PM.

As we continue nurturing an intergenerational church community, we invite families to pick up their children promptly following the worship service so they can join the congregation for coffee hour, potlucks, and other opportunities to connect across generations.

If you anticipate needing childcare beyond 12:15 PM on a particular Sunday, please reach out to our Director of Religious Exploration, Jess Ox, at hvuucdre@gmail.com in advance so we can explore available options together.

Nursery Pick-Up Reminder

Yahoo Groups Mailing List will be Disabled as of November 13

We are making a change to our news gathering and email delivery systems and need your help (and patience).

The address to which you are subscribed to the Yahoo Group will automatically be added to the new email digest.


What

· The Yahoo Group will be permanently disabled on November 13th.  We’re dropping Yahoo Groups in favor of putting all of our communications on the website and social media channels, with an email digest replacing Yahoo.

· To get your information to the new email digest you will need to go through the News and Events forms on the website.

· Please start using the forms right away!


Why

· People without a yahoo email currently can’t get our emails.

· The new forms will make it easier for people to share complete information about news and events to all our various communications outlets AND make life easier for Karyn, the office administrator, by ensuring she doesn't have to chase missing information.  We want everything to be online for ease of access and to promote the church.

· Maybe most importantly, the visibility of your news or event is going to be MUCH higher.


Challenges

· Items will need to be posted several days in advance, no more last minute sending.

· Deliverability: in testing we’ve seen emails go to the Promotions tab in Gmail. It’s also possible emails may initially go to your junk/spam folder.

· It’s a change from the status quo. That can be hard for everyone, but we think it will be worth it!
