Women’s Night this Friday
This Friday night, April 1st, 6:30, is Ladies night at Mary Williamson’s.
Ladies night has been a long time coming. Let’s hope this is the first of many in 2022.
Mary will be making a big pot of pumpkin soup. As always, please bring a snack or drink to share. Parking is rough. People are encouraged to carpool. Limited parking is available at the house, additional parking on the culled sac.
We will have fires on the porches for those of you who wish to socialize outside.
If you are unable to take a short and steep hike, please park at the house. Otherwise, bring a flashlight, park at the top of the driveway, and come on down. Please respond to womensgroup@hvuuc.org for further information.
The Shared Pulpit Seminar
Do you have something to say? Maybe it's time to say it during a Sunday morning service.
The idea of public speaking can be intimidating, but it can also be quite a feeling of accomplishment to communicate your ideas in a way that can get your point across, sharing it with your religious community.
Rev. Tiffany will be hosting a "Shared Pulpit Seminar" to give you the tips and tools you need to put together a 15 minute message. Attending this seminar does NOT obligate you to do any speaking, but it might be a great opportunity to think about the possibilities. We can only accommodate 12 people in this seminar so sign up soon.
When
Saturday May 14 from noon until 4pm, in-person.
Email minister@hvuuc.org to sign up.

Adult RE 1 Has Resumed in a NEW LOCATION!
Religious Education is thrilled to announce that Adult RE 1 has resumed!
The group will meet from 9:30-10:45 n the first floor of the REZ, second room on the right.
Some important things to know about this:
The curriculum is The Great Courses. The group will watch a short video related to religions, science, philosophy, etc and follow it with a group discussion.
The facilitation will rotate among the group members. This means that each week someone is responsible for unlocking the building, turning on the DVD, encouraging discussion from the provided guide, taking attendance, and locking the building back up.
Please contact Sarah White at DRE@hvuuc.org if you have any questions!
We are so happy to be in person with our community!
New Playground Structured Ordered
Level 2 (Medium Risk) - What to Expect
The risk assessment team is happy to announce that this Sunday we will be operating under level 2 or “medium” risk. Here is what you need to know.
Level 2 (Medium)
Everyone wears a mask inside on Sunday
Vaccinated folks don’t need to wear a mask outdoors (or indoors for small groups)
No temperature taking
Unvaccinated folks still need to socially distance
Colored wrist bands to indicate comfort levels
We can sing indoors WITH MASKS ON
Wristbands
Color-coded armbands will indicate your level of contact comfort. These will reduce awkward & repeated questions about comfort levels. Choose the appropriate band as you enter, to let folks know how much close interaction you’re comfortable with.
Red=Maintain 6’ distance
Yellow=Talking OK, no touch
Green=Appropriate touch OK -- just ask.
There will be bins at the door & on the deck to deposit wristbands for cleaning after the service.
