The Five Smooth Stones of Unitarian Universalism

Unitarian Universalist theologian James Luther Adams proposed the "Five Smooth Stones of Religious Liberalism" as five features of Unitarian Universalism that will be essential to transforming our world, back in the 1970s. They are: Justice, Freedom, Community, Optimism and the idea that Revelation is Continuous (which many people now call "Growth" or "Evolution." Fifty years later these five smooth stones can still help us along our journey.
