11:00AM Worship Service: Social Justice Sunday - Diversity

Food Drive - The Social Justice Committee invites you to bring donations for a special food drive today. During our annual Social Justice service, we'll highlight some of our current activities and we'd like to showcase one of our longest running activities by collecting as much food as possible. January's theme is potatoes (whole or canned), potato flakes, or potato soup, but feel free to bring any food you wish. We'd love to get a record amount of food and also spur congregants to donate food monthly!

12PM - Fundraising Luncheon - The youth group will be serving potato soup with fixings and a salad. Suggested donation $5/adults, $2.50/children. Funds raised will support the fun and social justice work of the youth group, which does not receive funding through the church budget.

12:30PM - Join us for a one hour inspirational and challenging workshop, Empowering People, presented by Ken Bonner. His workshop is designed to empower people with information and understanding of how to best be effective in working to help those from a background of incarceration to live productive, crime-free lives. Ken Bonner is a gifted speaker who connects with people from all walks of life. For over twenty five years he has taught personal empowerment programs, helping people to overcome personal challenges and struggles in life through personal accountability and personal excellence.

Tuesday, January 28

5:15PM Yoga with Tish - If you would like to try Yoga to help improve your core strength, balance, and ability to relax, please join a small group that meets in the Meditation Room in the RE building on Tuesday evenings from 5:15 to 6:30pm.

Your first class is free of charge – I feel it’s important that you get a chance to try it before you invest in a series of classes. The class is a mixture of breathing techniques and yoga poses that flow from one into another. You do not need to be trained in yoga or have attended the last session to attend this series of classes. Go to www.YogaWithTish for more information.
