Saturday, November 16
Join us beginning at 5:30PM for heavy hors d'oeuvres and perusing the silent auction items. We then move on to the live auction, with our own auctioneer extraordinaire Jen Margeson!
The kids meanwhile will be having a Pajama Party! Kids can come in their PJs, we'll have glow sticks, music and dancing, followed by popcorn and a movie. Childcare is available all evening.
Click here for a printable 2019 Auction Catalog and Calendar of Auction Events. Printed catalogs and calendars will also be available at the auction.
When you arrive you can register for several door prizes including; a VIP bear, a $25 gift certificate to Auntie Ruth's Donuts and Pretzels, a gift certificate for a regular manicure at Salon Bilancia in Johnson City, and two winners will get a $25 grocery gift card.
It’s not too late to bid by proxy! Just send your list of items and max bid price to auction@hvuuc.org by Saturday morning.
What about payment?
At the end of the evening, as soon as all bids have been recorded, you will receive an invoice emailed to the email address you used to register for the auction. You can not get a total and check out early. If you have to leave the auction early, that’s no problem, an invoice will be emailed to you and you can mail or bring payment to church the following week.
We except cash or checks made out to HVUUC. We can also except Paypal.
It is an advertised Stewardship policy, enthusiastically supported by the Board of Trustees, that in order to be inclusive, we are accepting volunteer labor in place of cash, at $20/hour, for all the fundraiser events. Bid during the auction just like you normally would bid knowing that for every $20 you spend, you’ll be fulfilling the commitment via volunteer hours in 2020. When you get your receipt, indicate you’ll pay later via IOU. Folks paying with labor IOU's will have their name passed to the Membership or Stewardship Trustee to work out arrangements and/or be on the volunteer call list.
