Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church is one of many "support" churches in the Johnson City Family Promise Network. 3 times a year we prepare one evening meal for the families in the program and we join them for supper at the big table.
We need 5 volunteers - one food shopper, 2 cooks and 2 people to stay overnight at the church, one male and one female (private rooms for the overnighters)
Please consider helping on Monday, August 13, 2018.
HVUUC Volunteer families with kids are very welcome. The cooks will be on the job between 4:30pm and 7pm. (the meal is served at 6pm.)
We assist at Hopwood Memorial Christian Church on the Milligan College campus.
We have been doing this for many years and we have a well documented routine. The Family Promise staff lets us know exactly how many families will be there, the ages of children and any food allergies.
