Christmas Eve Gathering

Christmas Eve Gathering

All ages are invited to come hear the Christmas story as we celebrate Christmas Eve with traditional carols & cookies. Singing will begin at 7 PM in the sanctuary, followed by cookies, fellowship, & more modern holiday songs in the Fred Ball Room.

Participants are encouraged to bring a plate of cookies to share if you like (totally optional—come either way!) Beverages will be provided.

There will be NO SERVICE on Sunday, December 25th.

Path to Membership Class

Path to Membership Class

This class helps those considering membership learn more about our church and opportunities for involvement. Additionally, it allows you to get to know a small group of people on a more personal level. Although the class is a necessary precursor for joining, there is no obligation. Childcare will be provided.

Class will be limited to 10 participants. Get your name on the list early by emailing membership@hvuuc.org. There will also be a sign-up sheet on the side counter in the sanctuary. Please provide the following information: name, email, phone, whether you require childcare, the number of children and their ages.

We look forward to your participation!

Rebecca Rowe Alom Memorial Service this Sunday

On Tuesday November 15th 2022 long time member Rebecca Rowe Alom peacefully passed away. This Sunday, November 20th, Rebecca’s family, friends, and church community are invited to gather here at Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church at 2:00PM for her Celebration of Life.

Reception will follow.

Rebecca was known by those who loved her as a woman of science who marched for social justice before illness limited her mobility. Come gather with us to celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman.

Food Needed for Auction

Food Needed for Auction

We will be in-person!!!! After three years, the annual auction will be in-person. As in the past, there is a lot of excitement about the auction, including looking forward to finger foods/hor d'oeuvres and beverages to sustain us through the evening.

If you plan to attend, please consider bringing food to share. Most appreciated is food that doesn't require eating utensils. The planning group will provide non-alcoholic beverages and wine, as well as napkins and plates. Please email auction@hvuuc if you have questions. Thank you in advance for contributing!

We also still need product and service donations for the auction and it’s not too late to add donations. Use the link below to contribute. https://auctria.events/2022HVUUCauction
