Our new Religious Education year is upon us, and we need teachers! Our church community is blessed to have a strong and vibrant RE program, and it’s thanks to YOU!

Please gather on Saturday, July 27 at 4PM at Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church with Beth Calvert and her family as we celebrate the life of Dave Calvert. Beth asks that you bring your favorite story about Dave and, in the spirit of Dave’s playfulness, please consider wearing a costume or Hawaiian shirt.

Our next turn to serve at the Kingsport Kitchen of Hope will be Monday, July 1. We’ll be serving Ham/Hashbrown/Veggie/Cheese Casserole.

Join us after church this Sunday for a fundraising luncheon to support our summer camp. Cost is $5/person, $2.50/children.

Soap Box Sunday is July 7th. Do you have something to say? 5 minute Soap Box opportunities, at the pulpit, are available!

Join us after church at Laurel Run in Church Hill on June 30th at 2pm. There's an easy hike to a waterfall that involves a small creek crossing, so be prepared to get your feet wet. If the creek is too high, there is also a playground and a large field with a walking track around it. See you there!

As of today lead teachers are still needed on June 30, July 14, July 21, and August 4. Teachers helpers are needed on these dates as well.

Beth Calvert would like everyone to know that Dave passed away at home on Sunday afternoon. A memorial service will be held for him sometime in the next month.

On Saturday, June 15 at 9AM members of the Social Justice Committee will be working on the nature trail at the church. You're invited to come work along side us as we hold up our commitment to our theme for this fiscal year, the Environment.

Children’s summer RE and Adult RE 2 are cancelled for today Sunday, June 3.
