This Friday, July 12, there are going to be numerous “Lights for Liberty” Vigils across the country. These vigils are to raise awareness, and help end human detention camps as well as to raise understanding of immigrant human rights. This humanitarian focused event is being organized by a coalition of people dedicated to the fundamental principle that all human beings have a right to liberty and dignity regardless of nationality, or where they are from.
The local event will be held in Johnson City's Founder Park, around 8pm.
