Job Description: Video Production Specialist
Reports to: Minister
Effective: Fall 2023 – will be updated to match hire date
Job Summary
The Video Production Specialist will provide reliable expertise and weekly video production services on Sundays, to maintain and enhance Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church’s online presence.
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience and skill in editing raw recorded video material using video editing software
• Willing and able to work within an institution that is religiously diverse, LGBTQ+ affirming, and actively anti-racist
Essential Functions
• Video Camera Work: Serve as main Video Camera operator for Sunday Services. (Video camera and tripod provided.) Arrive no later than 10:30am on Sundays and stay through end of service around noon.
• Video Editing and Production: Using appropriate software, edit raw video file(s) into a quality presentation, post to church’s YouTube account no later than 5pm on Sundays. In the beginning of this work, our Video Tech Specialist may also assist the Minister in developing a plan for what content should and shouldn’t be included in the video services.
• Timely Communication: Respond to email and phone calls within 48 hours
*Note: At some point in the future, we are open to this position evolving into one that offers additional tech support for additional money, if both parties find that agreeable
