"In the six months since HVUUC implemented our COVID-19 Plan, much has changed—with vaccines, science, and the virus itself. Accordingly, the Board has approved an updated plan. Please read it on our website so you can evaluate the mitigation factors in place and make informed decisions about how and when you feel comfortable to participate in person.

Updates in a nutshell:
-Requires RE teachers and Child care workers to be fully vaccinated
-Uses CDC wording ("well-fitting") to describe appropriate masks, rather than the former attempt to describe all options.
-Removes temperature taking requirement.
-Describes sanctuary seating options that are already in place (4’ and 6’ spacing).
-Allows self-determination of comfort (wrist bands) for fully vaccinated folks at the High Risk level (used to be just Low & Medium).
-Specifies that the Risk Assessment Team will field requests for exceptions. (This isn’t a change in policy; just in the chart.)
-Changes the Music policy at the High & Medium risk levels to allow 1-2 Rapid-tested, unmasked singers at the podium; and congregation singing with masks.
-Allows food to be served (outside) at the High risk level, in addition to the previous choices of individually wrapped or bring-your-own. (Note: self-serve, communal food is still off-limits.) Removes wording “Kitchen is closed” for High.
-Streamlines Low, Medium & High charts by removing extra line about groups inside. Reinforces need to observe maximum room occupancy if group is unvaccinated."
