Holston Valley UU Friends and Family,
Our congregation has a long history of supporting Hunger First and they have some unique emergency needs that have surfaced. Please read their message below for information on how to help.
With Gratitude,
Rev. Tiffany
Hello, I am a volunteer at Hunger First. I have been involved all together for a little over 2 1/2 years. I was first introduced to Hunger First in 2017, when I myself was homeless. They have not only helped me they have shown me the absolute truest meaning of "Family", you realize quickly its not blood. Its love, unconditional love, Faith, compassion and so much more. You will learn everyone there is "Family" especially the workers.
Unfortunately, Hungers First and Michael Gillis need our help now more than ever. Our building was sold to the city and now we have to relocate. Our lease isn't up until March 2022 ( so we have maybe four months to make this happen). This doesn't mean it's the end for Hunger's First, ABSOLUTELY NOT, it's the start of something bigger and better for us all I have started a GoFundMe page to try and help. In this page you will find a little of my personal testimony with Hungers First and why this is so important, and just a tiny glimpse at what Hungers First has done for me and is still doing
This is where we NEED YOUR HELP!! Help us get the word out about our GoFundMe page. Share with everyone you know... Family, Friends, Co-Workers, Church, School, Clubs whoever you can think of that may possibly help. Below is the information to the page.
If you have any questions, you can email me at HungerFirst.AVB@gmail.com. Or you can call me at Hunger First (Monday- Friday 9am to 3 pm). 423-765-1144 Donations may also be mailed to: Hunger First Att: New Building 829 Myrtle Street Kingsport, TN 37660 GoFundMe Page info: Page Title: New Building for Hunger First Location: Kingsport, TN Link:https://www.gofundme.com/f/new-building-for-hunger-first?qid=f537b736b4cefb2fdb74a58c661e0713
Thank you all in advance for all of your help, I know if we all work together, it will be no problem to raise this money. There is a bigger and better plan in store for the future of Hungers First
Thanks so much, Amy Blousack
