RISE: Healthy for Life, which provides and promotes responsible, inclusive sexuality education in our area, began as a community outreach of Holston Valley UU Church a few years ago and received its own 501(c)3 status in November 2019.
We are happy to announce that RISE will be honored as an educator of the year by Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and Northern Mississippi in April AND that RISE was invited to join the Sex Education Collaborative, which includes only 24 organizations nationwide.
These honors are possible because of the generosity and support of volunteers and decision makers at Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church who have given so generously of their time, talents, vision, and skills over the years.
