For $1500 HVUUC can get 125 radio spots aired on WETS during the year. We are $500 short. If we can raise the needed amount by June 20 we can get information about our church to a wide audience of radio listeners.
HVUUC has usually managed to raise enough money to get a yearly contract with WETS. Then we hear something like this on the radio:
"Support for WETS comes from Holston Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, a religious congregation working together as a church to share love, pursue justice, and seek wonder."
This year we are $500 short of our goal. Can you donate before the June 20 deadline? Pay by cash, check, or Zelle--just be sure to designate it for WETS. Thank you!
Beware!
Rev Tiffany and staff will never ask you for help getting gift cards or ask you to send a copy of our directory via email. These are common scams to watch out for.
If you’re unsure of a request be sure to check in with office@hvuuc.org or minister@hvuuc.org.
This report highlights accomplishments, challenges, and plans for 2026-2027. Our leaders are guided by HVUUC's Vision of "We work together as a church to transform ourselves, our community, and our world by sharing love, pursuing justice, and seeking wonder."
You can find the annual report in the “Members Area” of our website. If you need to password to the Members Area, email office@hvuuc.org.

What do we do with the word "evil." Many of us, who may have been called evil ourselves because of who we love or what we do or don't believe, probably want to shy away from the word altogether or claim that evil isn't real. But life in 2026 might be inviting us to name what evil actually is, and to consider what we might do about it. Rev. Tiffany offers her reflections on one of the big questions of life.

The stories of JRR Tolkein have become a sacred text in their own right to many. In this service Rev. Tiffany explores his writings in search of wisdom and hope for times such as these.
The Women’s Retreat is scheduled for Sept. 18-20 at Camp Bays Mountain. All who identify as women are welcome. We need volunteers NOW to help organize this event so we can have a wonderful, meaningful time together.
Please respond ASAP if you would like to help plan this exciting event. Many hands make light work. More to come after we get a group to organize. Thanks!

With our passion for diversity and economic justice, it makes sense that Unitarian Universalist communities would be the ideal place for building a bridge between people coming from different socio-economic classes. Rev Tiffany asks where are we succeeding and where is there still room to grow?

Just as the Native Americans have a long history of planting corn, beans and squash together in a way that benefits all three, our Unitarian Universalist community has planted many different kinds of people together to create a diverse and beautiful garden of humanity. Flower Communion is our annual celebration of that coming together. Please bring a flower and an open heart to this celebration. Members are invited to stay for our Annual Meeting afterwards.

Our senses are the means by which we experience our world and our life. While our five senses haven’t changed over thousands of generations, our experience in using them in the modern world is unlike any time before us. We are in a time and sensory bubble called modernity. This week Charlie Mattioli explores what we have won and what we have lost and why it matters in our lives and spiritual journey.
Do you enjoy listening to NPR and WETS? We can help support them and, in return, get information about HVUUC aired on the radio to let the community know who we are.
Just write your check to HVUUC with WETS noted on the memo line or enclose cash in an envelope marked WETS. Drop these in the offering basket or the donation dropbox on the back wall. Then we will bundle these donations and listen for our church name on the radio!
